DUDE! I am 90% sure that those are potatoes and squash and other root-veggies that he used as the bases for his work, then added the rest with plasticine and wire etc.

If you go through the Flickr link, most of the works are labelled "PVC gel", which I've never met before; I dunno if one needs wacky tools and a real workspace to work with the stuff, or if I could do it safely in my living room. :)

PVC gel. Sounds toxic. Wonder how well ventilated his studio is. I bet he works in a separate building or a garage.
