They just created the big snafu to get rid of the lady heading CNSC, also, coincidentally, appointed by a Liberal (they had been trying to fire her since they got into office - anyone paying attention could see the entire problem was AECL's fault entirely).
I guess the only upside is that he waited this long. He cut funding and disbanded women's equity groups immediately (ie fair and equal wages, it's still about 70cents to the male dollar. That stat is a couple of years old though).
