I woke up this morning choking on my own throat.

My tonsils are very, very swollen. It's quite uncomfortable.

For some reason, I decided to come into work anyway. I can take more advil in an hour.

I've been having issues with a sore throat due to the passage between my nose/sinuses and throat being blocked, causing me to sleep with my mouth open, for almost a month now. I suspect there is a relationship between that phenomenon and this new one.

After a bit of web research, it seems that tonsillitis isn't that serious, in most cases, and that tonsil removing isn't typically done any more. I don't seem to be running a high fever, so I'm going to wait to call the doc until tomorrow, assuming this doesn't get better.

Zil has promised to make me chixxen soup tonight, which will be nice.

ok, appointment at 3:45 pm today. which means I need to leave in about 30 minutes

So the doctor thinks I have strep. I've got my pennicyllin, and my chicken soup. I may or may not go to work tomorrow, depnding on how I feel when I get up, and how much I sleep tonight.

I am going to curl up in bed and read soem Laurell Hamilton for a bit now.
