Since I now have a new ipod, that means it is yet again time to interview my ipod!

Another Meme...this ones about random music...

1. Go to your media player/mp3 player and put it all on shuffle.
2. Say the following questions aloud, and after each one press play.
3. Use the song title as the answer to the question.

What do you think of me, iPod?
Soilbleed (Obszoen Geschoepf Remix) by Grendel.

This track opens with the sample "I am in a world of shit". So clearly, the OokPod thinks I'm in trouble.

Will I have a happy life?
30 Ghosts IV by Nine Inch Nails.

My life will be filled with ghosts? Or ambient music tracks? I'm not sure that sounds "happy" exactly.

What do my friends really think of me?
The Only One by Abney Park.

My friends think I am the only one? The only one what? The only one who rocks the socks of of the fox? The only one that doesn't know how much I smell? You're a tease, OokPod.

Do people secretly lust after me?
I Cry by Rotersand.

Okay, OokPod, you're just being mean now. Or are you crying because everyone lusts after me, and not you? Don't be sad, OokPod - I think you're sexy.

How can I make myself happy?
Back and Forth by Dr. Steel.

OokPod, you either think that I am very easily amused, or you have a dirty mind.

What should I do with my life?
The Real by Tech Itch w/ Don Davis.

So I shouldn't bury my head in imaginary worlds all the time? That's sound advice, I suppose.

Why must life be so full of pain?
I Am Cow by The Arrogant Worms.

So, I gather that you are an advocate of Veganism, then, OokPod?

How can I maximize my pleasure during sex?
Wicked Dickie.

Well, I think that settles the question of whether or not OokPod has a dirty mind. That or a very unfortunate fashion sense.

Will I ever have children?
Dozen Girls by The Damned.

OokPod, that's pretty unlikley. And that's a lot of kids.

Will I die happy?
Lost by Rotersand.

Don't spoil the final episode! I haven't seen it yet!

Can you give me some advice?
Bionic by Placebo.

Does that mean you think I *should* get Lasik?

What do you think happiness is?
Space Seed [live] by S.P.O.C.K.

Yes, OokPod definitely has a dirty mind.

What's my favorite fetish?

Queen of the Delta by Vernian Process.

OokPod thinks that I am into cross-dressers from New Orleans, I gather? In the final analysis, you and I haven't known each other that long, OokPod. I can see you've got a lot to learn about how we run things around here. But the dirty mind will certainly help.

1. Reply to this post and I'll assign you a letter.
2. List 5 songs that start with that letter.
3. Post them to your journal with these instructions.

[livejournal.com profile] stillsostrange gave me "R".

  1. Rainbow Disconnection by Sad Kermit. Because even muppets get sad sometimes.

  2. Rats by Rasputina (Yes, [livejournal.com profile] corwin77, clicking that link is a bad idea. Contains rats. In fact, no one watch the video, just minimize it and listen tot he song.)

  3. Re:Your Brains by Jonathan Coulton. I think I've been in meetings with the protag from this song.

  4. Red Right Hand by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. This song always makes me think of the old 90s TV show American Gothic. Which I think was only watched by me. Every time I hear this song I picture Gary Cole in a dusty black coat with stacks of green paper in his red right hand. Also, lookit the pretty pre-moustache Nick Cave!

  5. Romulan Ale by S.P.O.C.K. While looking through youtube, I found an utterly devastating fanvid for Rasptutina's "A Quitter", so I needed something silly to cheer me up. Couldn't find it online, sadly. S.P.O.C.K. are highly goofy.

From [livejournal.com profile] corwin77

1. How many games are you running at ACUS this year?
At least one, perhaps two.

2. If there is a Dude! sequel this year what would you like to see it involve?
Something featured in a scooby doo cartoon or Buffy episode - body switching, clones or something like that. For variety!

3. If I run my Future Soon game what character will you play?
Someone with goggles.

4. Have you read any D&D 4th ed. and why do you think it sucks most?
I read all the previews. I think it's just waiting for WOW to have better RP to replace it entirely. It's too strategically focussed.

5. Why have you never found/run a completely monkey based RPG?
Wait, Dude isn't monkey based?

[livejournal.com profile] laura_sm asked me:

1. Where/when/how did your enjoyment of costumes, outfits, and dressing up begin? Have you always enjoyed playing with clothing?

Really, I never outgrew playing dress-up as a kid. It's a big part of what drew me into being a goth, and certainly what kept me in the scene after I stopped being an angstbunny.

2. If you had all the time/money in the world, and all the skills, what piece(s) of clothing would you create?

Wow. Well, there's a few items here, and I can think of dozens more. Had I time, budget and skill I'd probably come out with a full line of weird every season.

3. If you suddenly had an unexpected day off, what would you do with it?

If it were just me with the day off, probably spend the day playing games or wasting time online, maybe with a long mid-day gym visit.

4. What would be your perfect job?

Making stuff. But, not always the same stuff. Coding, writing, costuming, etc. - it's all about creating something. Practically speaking, something where I can write code with occasional more visual stuff (CSS, web design, etc.) at a place where they don't care what I wear, some place within TTC range would be lovely.

5. Where does the nickname curgoth come from?

Curgoth was a super-villain for a comic that a friend and I were going to put out in the 90s. It was a sort of Image-style X-men ripoff. Curgoth (originally pronounced Sur-Gawth) was a black-skinned demon with clawed fingers and fire breath. I started using the name on BBSes, and later the internet, when I decided that "Blood Razor" (our super teams' Wolverine ripoff) was too ridiculously metal for a nickname. The pronunciation change to Kur-Goth came from a kid at a club in KW in 97 or 98. By the time I got around to thinking about it, I'd been using the name for quite a while, and I've never run into anyone else using it.
You Are An INFP
The Idealist

You are a creative person with a great imagination. You enjoy living in your own inner world.
Open minded and accepting, you strive for harmony in your important relationships.
It takes a long time for people to get to know you. You are hesitant to let people get close to you.
But once you care for someone, you do everything you can to help them grow and develop.

In love, you tend to have high (and often unrealistic) standards.
You are very sensitive. You tend to have intense feelings.

At work, you need to do something that expresses your personal values.
You would make an excellent writer, psychologist, or artist.

How you see yourself: Unselfish, empathetic, and spiritual

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Unrealistic, naive, and weak

Lyrics game is still going.

There are still some guessable tracks in there - a couple by the Cure, a couple by Bauhaus, Front 242, Einsturzende Neubauten, KMFDM, etc.

Others I will concede are actually unguessable - has anyone else even heard of My Scarlet Life?

Lyrics Game

Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 40 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Strike through the songs when someone guesses both artist and track correctly. Remove from the list when guessed.
Step 4: For those who are guessing -- looking the lyrics up on a search engine is cheating, and really, an awful lot of work. Also Santa will know and give you coal for Xmas.

Answers:

Ask questions here.

Do you ever have random jealousy? If so, how do you cope with it?

I occasionally get jealous, but it's very rarely random. There's usually a reason.

Have you ever been dumped due to a change in life circumstances?

Does "I was behaving like an idiot" count as a change in life cicumstances? While life circumstances have been factors in breakups, I don't think any of them were due to those circumstances changing - more often something like "I thought we could work with X going on, but it's not working."

How long does it take you to recover from a breakup?

I've had a couple minor breakups from relationships that weren't too serious. The big one, though, took me a good six months, at least, before I could go for a day without moping about it. And that was in what were pretty nearly ideal conditions.

Ask questions here.

Helena Bonham Carter in full on Planet of the Apes makeup, would you do her?

Only if she gave enthusiastic consent.

How did you meet your current primary partner?

At a floor party at her residence at Mac. I had big FatBob/Wolverine hair, and our friends kept feeding us Purple Jesus until we talked to each other.
Three things I've done that I don't think any of you have done;

  1. Worked on a helicopter simulator for the military. The job also included watching a Polish (or was it Czech? it's been a while) fail miserably at trying to fire our rocket launcher simulator.

  2. Done over two thousand pushups and situps in an evening

  3. Bottled Cthulu
