On your current playlist, hit shuffle and pick the first twenty songs on the list (no matter how cheesy or embarrassing), and write down your favourite line of the song. Try to avoid putting the song title in the line. Then, have your friends comment and see if they know the songs.
This was a hard one to do; in a couple places, I had to look up the lyrics. I also had to skip ahead a lot of times, becuase I got a lot of instrumental tracks. For bonus points, try to guess who the actual artist is; several of these are covers.
- "Which they pumped into, into the anus of the posessed"
Christian Soliders by Rasputina, caught by Nein09 - "Like a knight from some old fashioned book, I have saved all my ribbons for thee."
Bird on a Wire Leonard Cohen, found by Miss Janette - "I hate the way it's always the same, hate, recrimination and blame"
Trap by the Cure. Found by Tetsab. I had to look this one up because I'd forgotten. - "If you open your mouth, I cannot be responsible"
Fascination Street The Cure, found by Miss Janette - "Did you exchange a walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?"
"Wish You Were Here", guessed by Kalivor. Originally by Pink Floyd, though that's not who was doing the version I was listneing to.(edit: Rasputina!) - "Curiouser and curioser and curiouser still, when you get depressed, you make us all ill"
Now I'm Feeling Zombifiedby Alien Sex Fiend, found by Miss Janette - "I come on like a cripplied plaything, the spine is just a string"
Tourniquet by Marilyn Manson, found by Tetsab. I was actually listening to the Raputina cover. - "And now I know how Joan of Arc felt, now I know how Joan of Arc felt"
Big Mouth Strikes Again by the Smiths.
hippybngstockng caught this one. - "So when the hurting starts, and when the nightmares begin, remember you can fill up the sky"

- "Rouge and eyeline, things I fancy, just like Nancy"
Boys by Bauhaus, found by Miss Janette - "Don't touch me please, I cannot stand the way you tease"
"Tainted Love" by Soft Cell Originally. I was listening to the Deathline International version. Many people caught this one. (edit: Miss Janette points out that this wasn't originally by SOft Cell, which I should have remembered) - "Got nothin' against Church, only people that go there"
Anti-Pope by The Damned, found by Tetsab. - "Every record our fans buy brings me another notch closer to becoming a brain surgeon."
- "No life at all in the house of dolls."

Just One Fix by Ministry, found by Miss Janette. - "Her and me and her and she and me, an uncrowded couple; are we three"
- "When Irish eyes are smilin', we'll punch 'em till they're black.">
"Drink and Fight" By the Mudmen. Guessed by Lizard. - "What we are looking at is good and evil, right and wrong. A new world order!"

[Er. It's the Cure off of either Wish or Wild Mood Swings. Have not the foggiest on the title].
07. Y'know, I hadn't the foggiest on this one what he sang after the 'crippled plaything' bit 'till now... but, whoo boy, I can hear that voice so well in my head:
Marilyn Manson - Tourniquet.
14. Only the people who go there! And show they're! Ignorant anddon'tunderstand!
The Damned - Antipope.
[Now I'm sad I chose to keep 'Grave Disorder' out as my one available Damned album during my move...]

According to my winamp history, it's "Trap", from WIld Mood Swings. I had to look that up...
The Rasputina version is better :)
That's actually the only full album I own... The Damned are high on my CDs to buy next time I feel like spending too much money on music list.

That doesn't sound one bit familiar but according to google it's correct. :)

I'm pretty sure I've never heard it before. Funky.
I'm not sure what to make of Rasputina -- I love the concept but am suspicious of the execution. Heh.
That's actually the only full album I own...
It's a very good album. I was really really expecting it to be a big stinkin' pile but ended up being very pleasantly surprised.
The one with 'Antipope' on it was the first album of theirs I got; picked it up in Penguin for $10. Yay!
In other news thanks for the Waterloo comment. :)
