I just spent a considerable amount of time fiddling around getting my computers to stream out mp3s. Why would I do this? I don't have the bandwidth to stream to anyone outside my apartment. The plan was that I could get one computer in the office, and another in the dining room to both connect to the stream, and then have the same music coming from both sides of the apartment.
Unfortunately, when I tried it with any two computers, the two were pretty badly out of sync, so that if you were in a position to hear both computers, it would be very annoying.
Has anyone heard of a different solution to this problem, short of running speaker cables all over the place, which I'd like to avoid?

That way the player can pick music up off of you PC.
And you can set up a computer or two around the place to allow people to add music to the Queue.
I don't know if there is Linux drivers for my USB PNA nick but I know there are Win2K drivers.
Issues: You need a phone jack near your stereo and near your computer.
