I just spent a considerable amount of time fiddling around getting my computers to stream out mp3s. Why would I do this? I don't have the bandwidth to stream to anyone outside my apartment. The plan was that I could get one computer in the office, and another in the dining room to both connect to the stream, and then have the same music coming from both sides of the apartment.
Unfortunately, when I tried it with any two computers, the two were pretty badly out of sync, so that if you were in a position to hear both computers, it would be very annoying.
Has anyone heard of a different solution to this problem, short of running speaker cables all over the place, which I'd like to avoid?

I think the thing to do is go to a radio shack, tell them what I'm trying to do, and get some advice.
I'll just need to find a radio shack other than the one near where I live, since the guy who runs that one is an ass...

I looked up the store finder around your place, they do have one.
