The air quality today is disturbing me. The sky, while not filled with clouds, isn't really blue. More of a sickly grey-brown colour. The sun is awfully dim for noon. Breathing isn't as easy as it typically is.

In light of this, I suppose that it's good that Lizard and I have made the plans we have for this evening; exercise at an air-conditioned gym, dinner at an air-conditioned restaurant, and then an air-conditioned subway trip to an air-conditioned movie theatre.

But the sky is really creeping me out.

I almost for got; weird occurrence of the day: this morning on the bus, the driver was letting everyone on for free. He was saying things like "Hey, my treat! It's on me! Such a beautiful day, it's free today!"

My pet theory is that his favourite world cup team won last night. I'm kind of curious about what the implications of doing something like that are; is he really paying an entire morning's fares out of his own pocket? Isn't that a lot of money? How does the TTC track bus ridership/fares anyway? There'd be no record of people with metro passes taking the bus...
