From what I've been able to tell on other sites, basically they weren't making enough money; they got clobbered by SARS, the blackout, West Nile, etc., and it didn't look like they were going to be able to make up the lost money at any point soon.
Yeah, I basically heard the same thing. I think they may have saturated their market. A few small things changed from year to year, but not a ton, so they probably didn't get that many return patrons summer after summer. But I'll sure miss it too. I went for 3 (or was it 4?) summers, and always enjoyed the jousting, live battle chess and the wandering performers. I got myself some nice stuff there too. And my fiancee adored the turkey legs!
