(I meant to post this last night, but I fell asleep instead)

Today has been a good day.

I finally got my breakfast out. I ate too much, but I got my damned wheat cakes at last.

Then shopping. A new VCR was got. I also broke down and bouhgt myself an ipod. Not the 60 GB photo ipod I'd been looking at, but a "previously opened" 40 GB ipod, which does everything I wanted, and leaves some money to seed the tattoo fund. It also gives me time to finish my research for the tattoo I want. Depending on time, money and health, I'll likely get the ink late summer, or somewhere close to my birthday. If you happen to know of any good sources for norse art featuring ravens, let me know.

I also picked up enough booze for a partial rejuvenation of the bar, including 5 bottles of wine that I'm reserving for the wine party, when ever that happens.

Hey! That's a nifty idea! Might I ask where said iPod was procured?

I picked it up at Best Buy. Apparently the 60 GBs are selling like hot cakes. Apple seems to be discontinuing the 40 GB ones, so if you can find one, they're prolly cheaper than they might otherwise be. I happened to get lucky with a "previously opened" one - the first place I tried had neither 40 not 60.

I could have one drawn for you if you want. One of my friends here is a fabulous tatoo artist. She'll be doing mine just as soon as I settle on what I want. (Right now I am still really liking the CareBear heart on my tushie.) If you wanted to come down here to get it, I can ask her exactly what she needs (as far as pictures, measurements, etc) to get your stuff set up and we can schedule it. Long trip for a tatoo, but other fun can be had as well I'm sure :)

I've actually got the artist picked out already; I'm pretty attached to Daemon and Leah at Urban Primitive. I prefer to do as much of the design work myself as possible though - it's a pretty personal process for me, so I want to have as much of the detail work figured out beforehand.

ahhh totally understood. I'm very attached to Cassie, Glenn, and Mic at Studio 42. However, I can't draw for shit, so I'll go in and say "Cassie I want this" and she'll sit down with me to sketch it out until it's right. She's faaaabulous. She's done Marie's tatoos, and I haven't had her actually sketch anything for me because I'm that indecisive right now. But I've seen her sketched work for Marie and it's been wonderful and exactly what she wanted. And Cassie won't start to ink until you're happy with the drawing.

I'd love to be able to draw up exactly what I want, but again, can't draw for shit. Give me lights, gels, etc in a theatre though and I'll go to town.... :)

You know I'm in for the wine party. All my weekend nights (sat and sun) are free. I'm sorry that I can't have it at my house... I have to plan things for when my parents are away, and thats not happening again until end of June. AT which time I'm perfectly willing to host! :)

Five bottles?!?!?!?!??! What kinds? I just have my shiraz and the peach...

I bought two bottles of white that I know to be good (Fat Cat and Cat Pee On Gooseberries), two bottles of red I know to be good (a French Beaujolais, and Wolf Blass yellow label cab. sauv.), and one bottle of red that just looked interesting called "goats do roam"

I figure, worst case scenario, we'll taste all of them and I can put lids on the other bottles and finish them myself over the week.

For timing, I think night__watch and kalivor are the people who are less flexible timewise.
