My current favourite is Talisker - not quite as heavy as Oban or Lagavulin, but still fairly smokey/peaty.

Yes, but my preferences lie more with the speysides & highlands...lighter, saltier notes, as opposed to so much peat & smoke...

Well, Mr. Curgoth has quite a sizeable collection of single malts - I'm sure you could find something (or a few somethings) to your taste in his cabinet.
