From the
altfriday5:
1. How often do you draw a blank? What are the circumstances under which you will tend to draw one?
I lose words periodically. In the family tradition, I use whatchamagig, thingummy and other nonwords when I lose the right one.
2. What's the worst or most memorable time you drew a blank?
OAC Calculus exam. I blanked on the entire thing, dropping my calculus grade from 97% ro 77% in one fell swoop. I think that's the only time I ever blanked on a test.
3. Have you ever been blanked* by someone? Or done the blanking? If yes, tell us more about it.
I am very frequently blanked. Odds are, I haven't seen a person in 8 months to a year, they won't remember me at all, even with prompting. There are some people whom I have "met" two or three times. After the first blank, I don't bother reminding the person that we've met before. I am, I'm afraid, eminently forgettable. I don't think I've ever blanked on someone else - I have a good memory for faces.
4. This question left intentionally blank.
This answer left intentionally obfuscated.
5. Fill in the ___________.
Ok, done. But I had to go to the store to get more oatmeal to do it.
The Questioner says: Don't forget your links!
*To blank: to act as if someone you know is a stranger; to give them a blank face in response to a greeting or acknowledgement.
