Three Good Things.

  1. My utilikilt arrived today! I wasn't expecting it for weeks yet. If it wasn't for work's pesky dress code, I'd change into it right now. As it is, I will be wearing it home after the gym.

  2. It's been a week since my last slip up.

  3. Lunch time sale at work; $3 for a bag of decadent cookies, a litre of bbq sauce, and a bottle of spicy mexican mole marinade.

OK, does the dress code say "no men in skirts"??? You should protest. Utilikilts are excellent work-wear, or so says their website.

Well, they don't cover kilts explicitly. Sounds like you could wear the leather utilikilt, or a formal tartan kilt, but not a "cargo" utilikilt!

Do people at the office talk about your hair colour? They'd probably talk about a formal kilt just as much. Might be good or bad for your rep.

This reminds me of the insurance company where I once had the "pleasure" to work, under a somewhat more relaxed dress code. No hats were allowed, so I waited until my final day at the office to wear my gorgeous little Bucharian kippa. My colleagues assured me that the policy was just meant to prevent baseball caps, but if they're stupid enough to write the policy badly, I'll act dumb enough to follow it to the letter.
