Aaaaand, we're back. I've bee n away from a net connection for over 24 hours, and yet, have not exploded. Probably. Now I must go through the various LJ comments and e-mails which demand my attention - if you've been waiting on me to reply to something, I apologize - I expected to at least have net access at work's activity day in Hockley Valley today.
Last night I went to a fantastic workshop with the always wonderful
corbet, and got home late enough that I went straight to bed.
This morning, I drove up to Orangeville for running around a resort with work people.
On the way home, I stopped off and got myself a load of wine, and PVL whey cooler protein powder (initial review - no, I cannot just toss it in a nalgene and shake), which I'm hoping to use to supplement my diet at KScope.
In other news, it is very very good to be home, and to have the company of those I care most about.

well, you *can*, but you have to shake it a lot (i shook mine by hand this morning). part of the trick is, compile and shake immediately - don't let it sit at all, because the layer of powder in contact with the liquid *will* start to bond into chunks :)
what flavour did you pick up?
(and if it wasn't going to be packed and en route to pennsic with me almost immediately after the Kscope weekend, i'd offer you my 2-speed hand-cranked blender, which clamps to a picnic table and makes ALL the nasty chunky bits go away ;-)

I got the lemon-lime flavour - the only one they had in stock in the big containers. I also grabbed a couple of the single serving pouches of the peach flavour so Icould try that out, too. Thankfully, I liked the lemon lime I tried last night. I was tempted, as my next shopping stop was the LCBO clearance centre in the same plaza, to buy some lemoncello for mixing, but a sudden attack of restraint stayed my hand.
My back up plan, if I can't convince it to hand shake mix, is to just pre-mix a big batch and take five or so water bottles worth with me. Though I suppose I should be sure to test out what happens if I let it sit in a cool place for a day or so first, in case it settles out or something.

Do let me know if you come up with anything interesting to mix with it though.

It was, actually, horribly hot and muggy, even up there. But less hazy.

And also, glad you had a great Pride. :)

I'm glad Pride went well for you, too. In some ways, Pride was as mind-opening an experience for me as TOKink was. Life is strange and wonderful.
