The doc gave me antibiotics and an advair inhaler for the Ick. They both list dizziness as a possible side effect - I'm defintely foggy-headed. I'm also supposed to avoid dairy and advil while I'm on them.

I noticed something this morning; we have both black rice and black lentils. Clearly I need to do something with this.

My computer works! I can sync my phone and ipod again!

I have a lot to do at work today. But no brain to do it with.

Tonight is yummy anniversary dinner with my LizardLove. I think I will risk the side effects of dairy consumption for dinner.

Black lentils lose a lot of their colour to the cooking liquid in my experience. They make a darned tasty broth, though. (Just thoughts in case it helps with planning your black recipe.)

My thought was to make a sort of porridge with the lentils and rice. It'll probably end up a sort of brown-purple colour, but I figure it's worth a shot. (And I can season it with black mustard seeds!)

Sadly, I think this is usually done to deceased squid. Ideas in Food might have some tips, although the real answer may just be to buy it.

Of course, too much squid ink is addictive. You can tell addicts b the black-within-black eyes. Plus the uncanny ability to navigate through folds in space-time.

If you're having dairy, just try to time things so it's not within an hour or two of your pills. (That's what the pharmacist told me when I went through pretty much what you've got.)

Yeah, I got the same advice. I don't know how far I can push it though, so I'm going to be careful. Except at dinner tonight. :)
