Friday

Friday, [livejournal.com profile] webby and her bro had a couple of us over for
dinner (yummy jambalaya) and board games (Scotland Yard (now with
baseball cap for some reason), and Quelf (pizza party!). Afterwards,
Zil and I went out to the airport to pickup [livejournal.com profile] mycrazyhair
from the airport.

Saturday

Saturday, [livejournal.com profile] neeuqdrazil made an amazing breakfast. We had
fresh ham and cheese buttermilk biscuits, scrambled eggs with more
ham and cheese in 'em, red grapefruit, orange juice and tea.
Decadent!

After that, I did laundry while [livejournal.com profile] neeuqdrazil was awesome
and took the car to get a headlight fixed (apparently much easier and
faster than we expected it to be, but we've never had to do it
before).

Then I shopped, and got trousers, jeans, and a new old guy sweater
(like Mr. Rogers, but with a zipper). By the time I was done
shopping, I was Done, but I had ambitions.

I tried to disco nap, but didn't really have enough time - 30 minutes
sitting in the dark was nice, but no actual sleep occurred. I then
fussed around getting ready and overpreparing, and headed out.

[livejournal.com profile] metalana's party was good (I won a prize!)
Nuit Blanche was a bit disappointing (it seems like the focus is
moving away from art and onto idiots getting drunk in public and
shouting a lot), but I did at least get to hang out with [livejournal.com profile] thegiantkiller, which was nice.
Dark Rave was also not thrilling - the music didn't work for me, and
the crowd was sparse. Maybe I should have gone to the psy event
Nocture was running instead, but then I would have had no excuse for
the gas mask.

Also, I didn't have my boots laced tight enough, so my right foot has
large raw blisters now. My left foot has split skin thanks to the
weather shift, so I'm limping with both legs today.

Sunday

I got home from Nuit Blanching at 5am, wound down enough for bed by
about 6. I got up around 10, and made buttermilk pancakes while [livejournal.com profile] neeuqdrazil cooked peameal bacon.

After that, we had a session of God Save The Queen (my Nano-Victorian
Future
game), and much fun was had - we actually managed to get
all the present players together in the same place and time, while the
plot moved forward. There is a quite a bit of new stuff at The Wiki. I
recommend the quote
page

I also made some spicy (chili, ginger and cinnamon) chocolate chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, just because.

Sleep supply insufficient, but weekend good.

Hey, I'd probably try those...

You'll have to let me know how they compare to my aloo gobi on the hotness scale once you try it.

Ooh, those sound awesome. Though the original white chocolate recipe with the plums might be even better. And of course, that led me to start exploring the entire cupcake blog it came from...

I enjoyed reading this post :)

Quelf - some of the most fun I've ever had was sitting at a kitchen table playing this board game with a good friend and her son. We were laughing so hard we were crying :) Good memories!

You pack more into your weekend than I can even fathom :) Good for you!
