Actually, on that note, I just had an idea. I've been getting a lot of spam lately of one particular type that usually seems to make it past my filters - the subject line is usually a random phrase that sounds like it's been extracted from some old novel or something, and the body of the message just has one similarly random sentence and a URL.
Back in the days when Thousand Cats was happening regularly, we once did a writing exercise using random text from spam as a story seed. I think this latest crop are perfectly suited to doing exactly that! I think I may start posting the text snippets in my journal, or maybe in the long-disused Thousand Cats community, and see if anyone feels like joining me in spinning some of them into stories.
