It's a shame that Joe Clark is such a terrible, terrible politician. He's intelligent and witty, despite the typical media portrayal of him. But, he's no good at politics. He'd make a lousy PM. Hell, he did make a lousy PM.
Joe who? ;) Yeah he did for all of how many weeks? He may make a lousy PM but he's a great opposition leader too bad he wasn't too bad in that role and I think he'd have kept the Liberals honest. Oh well.
Well see the opisition is the perfect forum for him (and people like say Bob Ray) who can think logicaly and balanced about things and only push matters that really are counter to the best interests of the people of Canada where you need to be partisan and forceful to get anything done as PM. Just my take it's the difference between Trudau (sp?) and Clark, both immensly intelligent but it came down to will power.
