This is a story of a boy, and the weekend he had.

Friday was a night made for loafing. I sat around, and managed to get a little bit of work done in the calendarizing-the-ipod project.

Saturday, I ran around preparing stuff for the Guelphening, and was almost ready when the punctual [livejournal.com profile] henchminion arrived. We managed to get somewhat lost, but we actually managed to get ourselves unlost, and arrived without having to ask for help - I consider this to be an accomplishment, as I had expected to end up in some place like Fergus or Angus.

Party good! I was a sangria making fiend all night, and much fun was had. Sangira has fibre, so it's healthy! Really! Also - I got more cheap swords! And cheese cleaver!

I am going to shoot the crappy air mattress though, and get a proper one from Crappy Tire or something. The one we have has gotten much, much worse since the last time I slept on it. Little sleep was had Saturday night.

Sunday was the Day of Four Cities. I woke up in Guelph where [livejournal.com profile] neeuqdrazil, [livejournal.com profile] night__watch, [livejournal.com profile] daenaris and I had slept, then went to Waterloo to have dim sum with [livejournal.com profile] the_nita, [livejournal.com profile] woodardp, [livejournal.com profile] witchiscist and [livejournal.com profile] journeying_dad. The food was good, and inexpensive compared to what I'm used to. After that, I dropped [livejournal.com profile] neeuqdrazil and [livejournal.com profile] night__watch back in Guelph, and drove [livejournal.com profile] daenaris to Hamilton.

Then I hung out at TAIASCHC (The appartment I am still calling Head Couch) with [livejournal.com profile] corwin77 and [livejournal.com profile] dairymilk, and some other people who don't have LJs for board games and Indian food.

On the way back home, I was running low on gas, so I fueled up in Oakville, and stopped in to see my parents (apparently it had been January;/February since I'd seen them in person), and introduced them to Circe.

I finally got home at about 10:40, and ended up staying up until midnight on LJ. 6 am hit hard. I dragged my heels getting ready, and would have driven except that a) today is a smog alert day, and b) there was bad traffic on the 401.

I am very much enjoying the freedom that is having a car, but for commuting when tired, the TTC still wins hands down. Mmm, sleep.
