Something to ponder for iPod owners - you can set up a smart playlist to contain those songs not played within the last six months (or whatever). This will include songs that have never been played - so you can force yourself to explore your own music collection if, like me, you have a lot of music, and may have never heard some of it. iTunes and the iPod will both update the "Last Played" date on songs, so when you sync your iPod, the playlist gets updated to cover what's been listened to.

Is this something that you did? Or just an idea? Because I was trying to see if I could do it with iTunes, but I can't figure out a way to make different specialized playlists like that.

It's something I have done. I created a "smart playlist" and set the criteria to "last played" "greater than" "6" "months", and it seems to work relatively well - I haven't figured out if the ipod updates the playlist as it goes, or if it only updates the smart playlist when it syncs back to iTunes. Just for fun, I also made a smart playlist that shows every song with "love" in the title, and one that shows every song with "death", "dead" or "suicide" in the title.
