A bottle of Beaujolais nouveau and half a bottle of fat cat Chardonnay, and I feel better. I also now have a very big pot of both mushroom risotto (vegetarian) and cous cous with fruit and niuts (vegan) for the two pot lucks cooling on the balcony. Both were made extra moist to survive reheating. I need to write out my ingredient list cards. Also - so much for getting extra work done.
I can expect to be woken up at 3am this morning, by the pager. I'd ignore it, but I'm saving karma for Saturday (which I initially wrote as Saturnday, appropriately enough)

(I always like figuring out different ways of making things.)
This one has dried chanterelles, dried portobellos, fresh cremini and portobellos, the soaking liquid from the dried mushrooms, vegetable stock, and entirely too much parmesan. :)

omg yum
I freaking love risotto and couscous, and it has been soooo long since I've had either. I'd make some myself, but sadly, my skills lie in other rooms of the house than the kitchen. The sewing room, for example, or the room with the bed in it. I'm a master-napper.
But I digress. Seriously - feed me risotto! It's (almost) my birthday! DO IT.
