With some misgivings concerning overexerting my sore leg, I went and did BodyCombat tonight at the gym. Not only did the class not exhaust me, it seems to have worked out most of the painful twitching knots in my calves - I actually feel better having worked out than I have all week - I could finally manage the high kicks without any pull on my hamstring.

Sometimes, we gets lucky, we does.

I see. Well, I don't know of any Hung Gar schools in Toronto worthy of recommending, but should you want related arts (specifically, Ba Gua, , Push Hands, or Hsing I), just ask.

Damn. Wish I'd known about those guys. What was at the open house? The site talks about Medieval MA, JKD, and Wing Tsun, none of which, in my mind, fall under internal arts.

Though to be honest, I'm just as (if not more) interested in the TTAC3 aspect of the website :)

Okay, that sounded rather snotty, and not intentionally so. I am most definitely projecting my own wistful sentiment of not being anywhere near a good martial arts school, so I potentially imagined the same in your reply. Not knocking BodyCombat either, since I've never experienced it.

Yeah, I did -- not nearly long enough, seeing how I only lived in Toronto four months out of the last six years, and that was the only time I had access to a reasonably cheap school and had the reasonably high income. Now? Now, I read martial arts LJ communities.

Somebody shoot me.

I think any and all disparaging old-geezer-themed noises I might've made are negated by the fact that I know what you're talking about :)
