Nonetheless, I have loot. I now have sleeping bags, coolers, mosquito netting, morepropane and some wee plastic containers. I believe this pretty much finishes the shopping phase, except for food and sarongs.
More propane, huh? How many canisters are we up to now. (I'd been contemplating buying one and hiding it in my luggage so when you came and said, "Ummm. We appear to be out of propan," I could say, "No we're not!")
How wee are the containers? What are they for? Inquiring minds wanna know.
We now have 6 propane canisters. djinnthespazz said she usually doesn't go through on in a weekend. So I think we're good. :)
The containers range in size from a medium sized tylenol bottle to the most wee travel tylenol bottle you've ever seen. I figure some of them will be good for spices. I suspect I'll come up with something to put in the other bottles when I put things together.
KScope is the ideal place to acquire a camping icon, you realise.
I think we should find time for a mini party where we do the test pack, and then try out the camp stove, gazebo and your tent. We can discuss timing Thursday?
Heh. I actually went out and bought more pillboxes (from Shoppers this time, instead of from the dollar store) for spices. *shakes head* Not quite sure why. I mean, when you think of it, pretty much everything will be prepared in advance. But I guess we may want to adjust the spiciness to personal taste.
Anyway, yes, we should do the test pack, etc. We can definitely discuss timing on Thursday. Ummm. I'm free Friday, Monday, Tuesday, kinda of Thursday (the 27th), except for bellydancing, maybe Friday (the 28th) if I don't make it to Angel's, Sunday (the 30th), Monday (the 31st), and Tuesday (the 1st). And then we're on our way!

I do think, though, that there might be a last-minute meal adjustment if the weather is still so blessed hot. As in, many more sandwiches, much less in the way of hot meals. whew.
I would be incredibly amused if we ended up not cooking at all the entire time. If nothing else, I'll be wanting a container for chili flakes. Maybe one of the larger ones...
I think the sooner sets of Friday/Monday/Tuesday are our best bets, assuming the weather is nice - I promised Lizard the entire weekend of the 28-30th, and I want to make sure there's time to re-plan if we hit any snags on the test run.
