I am becoming aware of having a finite number of spoons. The implications of this have not yet sunk in.

I have been x-rayed and fluid-drained this week. I seem to have successfully removed my needle squick entirely now - no panic response now.

I managed to win not one, but two games of pool last night. I still suspect that athena_51 and metawade may have been letting me win. When it comes to pool, though, I will take what I can get.

I haven't been sleeping enough, and have been running on caffeine for over a week now. The chest pains on my right side have set in. I am going to have to stop this soon. Withdrawal will not be fun. I am awake thanks to weak coffee right now, but so jangly that I cannot focus for more than 10 seconds.

I have a large number of e-mails to reply to. I am working on trying to get to the backlog.

I had a very emotionally intense weekend. Many good things resulted. Life does not suck.

the only spoons we have are either plastic or cooking spoons, which are also plastic. we don't have any real flatware. i actually had at least three sets of flatware before i moved to the house, but after 3 years of no dishwasher and MANY times of such anti-want to doing the dishes that I've let said dishes (and accompanying flatware) soak for WAY too long.

the short version: it rusted in the sink

until we get a dishwasher I refuse to buy any more. I only miss having it when we run out of the plastic and I'd rather eat poop than go out and buy a box of spoons or forks.

Caffeine withdrawal SUCKs... What's the deal with the chest pains?

Take care of you...and preserve those spoons :) I hope there is actual information coming from your testing.

The chest pains are one of the more... interesting reasons why I shouldn't consume caffeine, especially on a regular basis. I've never had an answer on where they come from, but if I consume caffeine regularly, my chest hurts. :/

I'm really hoping the x-rays show something useful.

Are you consuming water as well as caffeine? When I go on a coffee binge, I tend to forget to drink anything else. I usually end up with killer heartburn (chest pain).

I've found I'm only good at pool when I'm tripping on acid (I haven't been good at pool for 12 years). Does that make me strange?

Me too on the killer caffeine-heartburn chestpains. They make it hard to breathe and when I first started getting them I honestly suspected my lung was collapsing. Not of the fun.

Hasn't managed to make me stop drinking coffee though. Self-preservative instincts not at an all-time high!

Oh, I have 3+ litres of water on the average day. It's not dehydration or heartburn - it feels more like someone has put a baseball between my pectoral and my rib cage.

And I think pool competence based on acid does make you a little strange.
