Interview meme time again. Comment if you want to be questioned.

[livejournal.com profile] themusesbitch asked me;

1. If you had to choose a motto, what would it be? If it was going to be publically attached to you at all times, would it be different?

This is a hard one. "Becoming me", and no, I wouldn't change it if it
were public.

2. Describe your dream house. Where is it located, geographically?

My dream house would be in Toronto. It would have enough space for
books, a yard, and a big room that could be used for parties, or kept
clear enough to use for dancing/exercising. It'd be either close to a
gym or contain one. It would be close to the subway, and have some
good restaurants within a 10 minute walk, including a decent pub.

3. Positively and negatively, how do you think the influence of your parents shaped the man you are today?

They taught me to be open-minded, empathic and gentle. On the down
side, they also taught me that no one can be trusted. My parents had
a huge influence on who I am today.

4. What was the worst thing about growing up in Oakville? OK, how about the best?

The worst thing? The dullness of it. The culture of beige
consumerist mediocrity. Also, getting around without a car is close
to impossible. The best? Oakville is safe, quiet, etc.

5. If you could make one wish & have it come true, and it couldn't be a cheat like wishing for more wishes, what would you wish for?

One moment of perfect happiness just before I die.

"they are all perfect..."

Hah, that would be funny, you being all ninja-like and then suddenly, it's all "Last Samurai".

That's karma for the whole "Tom Cruise with a Beard" thing, you know.

1. Easy, tame dinosaur. With the robot I'd have to worry about upgrades and such like.

2. Hmm ... mastery of scents, I think. It would kind of neat to be able to say, "Oh that's rotting flesh mingled with tar and combustion engine exhaust," when some one says, "Eww! What's that smell?!"

3. Between 70 and 75 farenheight. (Little to no humidity)

4. Ah, "The" question. It was more than a dozen years ago and I was frustrated. I was becoming increasingly disenchanted with the majority of the systems available at that time. And, to make matters worse, my gaming group had been slowly reduced to two, myself and one other friend. I had almost sworn off gaming completely when my English Lit. instructor approached me after class. I must give off a pretty strong 'gamer' vibe because he said he thought I might be. Anyway, he listened to me lament and then asked if I'd ever read or heard of the Chronicles of Amber. I hadn't, so he gave me a (very) brief synopsis then promptly leant me the first five books, and never once mentioning the ADRPG. I was hooked! I had read them all by the time the next class came around and I wanted more. That's when he told me about the game, and surprise!, his group just lost a player! I tagged along to the next game session and by the end of the night, I had my first Amber character concept. Then just a few short weeks later, I learned there was a convention dedicated to this great new game! And now you know ... the *rest* of the story.

5. Hmm, lack of qualifiers makes this one a bit tougher. Ok, my all time favorite PC of *my* creation is; hands down, the character I created at that first Ambercon for the campaign that is still running strong all these years later. His name is Fitzgin.
