Went out today and finally got new combats and a set of sneakers. I'm really rusty at boot polishing - I've been putting off fixing up the old ones because I've been meaning to replace them for a while. I think I'll hold on to the old ones until the new ones are broken in though.

what *IS* the best way to break in a pair of boots? (specifically a set of Docs that i'd love to get some wear out of, but they hurts ussss, they do...)

Mink oil, band-aids and mole foam do it for me. I have a also have a significant investment in boot calluses.
