Friday night, I picked up Lizard from work, and we went down to Yorkdale for date night. We saw How To Train Your Dragon (3d) and Kick-Ass. Both good movies, though I think Dragon is actually the better of the two. We had loud annoying teenagers behind us talking through the entirety of Kick-Ass. We got home around 1:30 am.

We puttered around a bit, then slept for roughly two hours before getting up to head to High Park for the May 1st Morris Dancers at dawn. I'd never made it out before, and it was nice to see. After that, Liz and I went to breakfast, and were home by around 8:30-9:00. I did laundry, napping while the washer/dryer ran. After that, there was much cleaning and tidying.

After that was CHEESE (the revenge). Since our normal halloween party got cancelled in October, this was our replacement Halloween party. We had Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, Dr H.I. Ennone (complete with porcine nose and tail), several stunning women in corsets, a Mad Hatter, an AEMMA scholar, Anna from V, and more. I was General Zod. Much partying was had, and conversations both loud and quiet were had.

Sunday, we did sweet fuck all. Well, Liz did dishes, which is pretty much all the party cleanup that was needed. Mostly, we sat around, watched TV and ate junk food.

So, all in all, an awesome weekend with awesome stuff and even more awesome people in it.

CHEESE was awesome! Thank you for hosting - and providing missing costume pieces.

Sorry I missed CHEESE - had my coven's Beltane celebration that night.

I still hope that one day I'll have a chance to do the costume I was originally going to for that. Though given the most recent turn of events on Doctor Who, it might now seem less like commemorating a classic scary-as-all-hell episode, and more like bandwagon-jumping or something...

Also, on the practical side, if I was going to really do it properly, I'd have to only move when no one was looking, and that could really put a dent in one's socializing opportunities at a party.
