While having breakfast this morning, I overheard the woman at the table next to ours repeatedly asking both her date and the waitress (while chatting) why its an Easter bunny and not an Easter chicken. She seemed to have no idea where those elements of the Easter symbolism come from or what they represent. How do people who celebrate these religious holidays not know these things?

I wanted to lean over to their table and say "It's the sex, stupid." but I didn't think that would go over well.

Fun

For work, I've been looking through the UN location tables - most of the cities/ports/etc that do international trade are in there.

It turns out that there's an installation in international waters off the coast of Norway called Aasgard. I noticed this. Then I noticed that the tables had a lat/long for it. Then I went to google maps. Sadly, the magnifcation on google maps and google earth doesn't seem to be big enough to show Asgard, but the link to see for yourself is here

Norway apparently has a number of these things, but none of the other ones have names that cool/geek-friendly.

The UN does not yet have a location code for Sealand.
