Reminder: The next God Save the Queen Nano-Victorian Future sessions are October 4th and November 22nd.
First, a reminder; the next Nano-Victorian Future session is Sunday September 13th.

Next, advancement; I have been convinced that advancement should be higher. So, every session everyone gets 2 points, even if they don't attend. There have been three sessions, so every one gets 6 points. In addition, if one does contributions in between sessions, one gets a point for each media. So, if you do five drawings (or one), that is one point. If you also do an in character journal, a campaign log or a wiki entry, you get another.

[ profile] sabotabby's art contributions have been added to the wiki, so a number of characters now have portraits.

Finally, planning for future sessions:

I am proposing October 4th and November 22nd for game sessions, again starting around 2. Does that work for folks?
BTW, there have been some new pages with background put up on the Nano-Victorian Wiki.

Nanovictorian future dates;

August 30th
September 13th

Some sort of other games on July 26th
Just a reminder; this Sunday, June 7th at 1pm is Beta Colony Game Day. Drop by for another session of The Nano-Victorian Future.
I've got some sample characters up for the Nano-Victorian Future here. There will be more as time allows today, and hopefully also a sample combat.

I've created a wiki for game stuff. The first sections are live - if you're bored, take a look at the Nano-Victorian Future. [ profile] corwin77 has also put up a section on the Dude games. ACUS folks, feel free to provide commentary/criticism.

While this is a wiki, I'm not opening it up to global edits. [ profile] corwin77 has access to the Dude section - if you want an account so you can contribute to Dude, let me know and make sure I have an e-mail address for you.

There's still a couple uncreated links for NVF, but the important stuff is there. I've got until Friday to do the same for Blood Shadow, the other setting I'm planning to run a game in for ACUS this year.
ACUS is coming up, and I've been following a lot of the press about the upcoming D&D 4th edition (more on that later). All of this means that I'm thinking about RPGs and how they work, and wanting to run a game or two.

Nerdy rambling about designing roleplaying games )
Anyone interested in starting up a diceless tabletop RPG with me? I've got an idea for some potential plots. I'd be using something vaguely like the Amber system. Specifically, though, I'm not going to tell the players the mechanics behind thier characters; tell me your character concept, and what you want to be good at, and any possible drawbacks, and I'll work out the mechanics, and give you back a list of things you know you're good at, and powers you know you can use. Advancement will be handled in an Amber DRPG style - you'll tell me what things you want to get better at, and I'll see what you can afford. You'll find out if you can do new things when you try to do them.

I'd be looking to run a game in either the Neren/Caecern setting or the Nano-Victorian future. Games would be run in Toronto roughly monthly, most likely on sundays as time allowed.

Anyone interested? If people are, and have an interest in either setting, I can break down some archetypes for character ideas.

what can you do with a map, an ocelot, and something hidden in petticoats?

If we only had a wheelbarrow... )

[ profile] corwin77 said I should write about robot bees.

Then bees you will have! )

These things are getting complicated. Any other ideas floating around? Or a theme even?

A character is resigned throughout most of the story. During the story, a character misunderstands someone. The story must have an angel in it. The story takes place a century into the future. During the story, there is a fight to the death.

So, this one may be short of romance and happy endings, too )
