Now that the death march hours should be finally over, I'm looking at the physical damage it's done. I haven't been to the gym in three weeks, and I've been consuming a lot of caffeine. My liver is sore, and my right leg/hip are aching enough that I'm getting a bit of a limp again.

I'm going to take it easy this week, just stretching and lower impact cardio, both to ease back into exercising, and to give myself more time to get ready for camping this coming weekend.

I'm also going to try to a "detox" - I am going to try to give up alcohol, caffeine and sweets for three weeks to give my body a chance to heal a bit. We'll see how possible it is; caffeine-free and driving on less than enough sleep can be risky, and sugar is usually my backup stimulant when I am avoiding caffeine.

Right now, I rather wish I could just crawl off and nap for a couple days.

The clock claims that it's almost 5am. I think that chocolate cake had caffeine in it.

Regardless, I've finished my first attempt at modifying a modern dress shirt to give it a more Victorian/steampunk edge (by no means historically accurate, but it works better with a cravat). I also finally cleaned up and edged my cravat, and tried it out after pressing it. The neckline looks much nicer when its been pressed first, and the neck is much more comfortable with the modified shirt.

I still can't sew straight, but that'll come with practice. I also picked up a couple more vests and a nice tie today, so I'm getting to the point where I actually have a few neovictorian/steampunk outfits, particularly once I pick up my Gentleman's Emporium order next week.

It may just be time for a photoshoot, if I can get someone to take pictures for me while I run around and change clothes frequently.

I went to visit my riding boots today, too. The stretching didn't add enough room, so they're going to add a slit and a couple of buckles so I can adjust the top five inches or so. This should give me enough room to tuck various pants into them.

Due to the Snowpocalypse, my date for tonight got cancelled, since neither of us had the energy to leave the house again. Hence the sewing.

Tomorrow will be date rain check, and laundry. Of course, if I don't go to sleep soon, it will *be* tomorrow.

There must have been something in that cake...

Time to grab 4 hours of sleep then hit the road!

Still exhausted today. Didn't read LJ at work to try to be more productive. Didn't work - just got interrupted more often. Now, off to see if I can balance out my brain chemistry with alcohol enough to sleep early enough to break this pattern.

Until then, I am moody, hate the world, and may just cuddle *you* if you get close enough.
I wonder if they are as afraid of me as I am of them?

Why is it so hard to eat these days? When did I become a person who can just say "meh, I'll eat later... maybe tomorrow"?

Toes? Toes!

I love having my computer back.

I have filled my mp3 partition. Clearly I need to go shopping once I get my tax refund.

I need to remember to make that thing for that person before that stuff. (and that has at least three meanings)

When to damage my hair next?

What do I want?
After missing the opening rit by 5 minutes, I made it to the Saturnalia party yesterday - the idea being to go from sundown to sunrise, to remind the sun to come back. I made it through the night, only dipping into the caffeine briefly for a small sip of coke.

I had a great time, though I had several opportunities to remind myself about a) directed communication (i.e., *talk* to people) and b) being stubborn FAR past the point of stupid. Case in point - the subway wasn't running when I left at 8am, so I decided to see how far I could walk before it started at 9. I got a little lost because, well, I'm me, and I was just a little tired. ME == GENEEOOS. So, I walked as far as Dupont station before I managed to get myself onto the subway.

I got home around 9:30, and [livejournal.com profile] neeuqdrazil let me sleep until noon. I'm still very tired, but I'm going to try to sleep another 8 hours tonight to get myself back on schedule. Fortunately, I'm stubborn far past the point of stupidity, so I just have to keep going for another few hours...
