I am trying to figure out my vacation time for next year. Because hey, the earlier I book it, the less chance I have of being turned down because someone else got it first.
I'm trying to think of events to try to hit in 2010. My list so far:
Anything else I should be considering? I'm up to 20 days of vaction a year, so in theory I could do *all* the stuff on the list currently, though I might want to save *some* vacation time for stuff that's not a convention of some sort (and that calculation assumes time taken for grumpmas visiting).

- ACUS March 25-28 2010
- Notacon April 15-18 2010
- Kaleidoscope Gathering August long weekend at the new location?
- Harvest FestivalSept 24-26th?

Back from Worldcon. Has a fantastic time with
mycrazyhair. There are a few pictures from my phone, though not great since I took most of them at night. I'll try to get them up on flickr some time soon.
That Guy (tm) was out in force, but not as much as I had feared. The workshops were great, and it was lovely seeing people, especially those who I don't get to see often.
Highlights include seeing
tormenta hold her own on a panel that included an MIT professor and being utterly bloody brilliant, gothclubbing with some awesome folks, hanging out Sunday night at the bar with the freaking absinthe fountains, pubcrawling, and, yeah, the panels, too.
I also enjoyed getting to spend a whole week dressed like a weirdo (which is to say, like me). Maybe some day I'll even get to the level where I can throw something into the masquerade.
Today was resting, getting laundry and errands done and reconnecting with
neeuqdrazil.
I've dumped a bunch of brown dye on my hair to take it down to something less than incandescent, and mostly unpacked. Tomorrow I go back to corporate drag.

As of 4pm today, I was officially on vacation.
Tomorrow morning, I will be getting up and heading out to ACUS, and heading back Monday.
If there are any cool surprises in R&G, don't spoil them for me, as I won't get to see it until next Friday!
The car is mostly packed, and I have road food and a tub of high protein trail mix for the con to help cut down on cookies and chips.
Now all I have to do is sleep, and not get arrested at the border for having hair that is too red. And not looking like my passport picture.
